Third Quarter Report, 2007:

There have been seven boating regulation changes for the state of Kansas.  One that passed was a guideline on piloting rules regarding maintaining a proper lookout.  Another was that boating accidents now are required to be reported immediately, without the grace period there used to be.  The PWC regulation regarding age and education was changed: now, everyone born after January 1 of 1989 must pass a NASBLA approved boater education class.  State boat registration expiration decal placement requirement has changed: now, the sticker must be within 3" of the registration number and in-line with either front or back  [previously, the expiration sticker was to be on the stern side of the Registration numbers].  And, state government now has more authority regarding MSD's (Marine Sanitation Devices)
