Second Quarter Report, 2007: The legislature adjourned mid-April. The BUL bill (SB143) passed the Senate but died in House committee. The “vacancy savings” bill (SB205) allowing the State to hire new game wardens passed and FWP is in the process of hiring new wardens. This is significant since FWP is essentially the only marine law enforcement in Montana. First Quarter Report, 2007: No boating-related legislative activity reported this quarter.
