First Quarter Report, 2008:

 

No new legislation.  A house bill for mandatory boater education did not get out of the House.  The Utah legislature is now out of session for the remainder of the year (of 2008)

Third Quarter Report, 2007:

 

No boating-related legislative activity reported this quarter.

 

Second Quarter Report, 2007:

 

No boating-related legislative activity reported this quarter.

 

First Quarter Report, 2007:

The cap on boat registration fees has been lifted, allowing the BLA to raise registration fees.

This was good legislation, as Utah has not had an increase in a number of years.  The state can now bring fees up to what surrounding states are charging for registration.
