Second Quarter Report, 2009:
Senate Bill S-091 was passed by the House of Representatives on April 10, 2009, and by the Senate on May 15, 2009. The Bill was sent to the Governor and was signed on May 21, 2009.
The approval of S-091 was a surprise because in addition to specifying the minimum age for PWC operators (age 16), it permits Police Officers to stop boats without probable cause, which the Vermont Legislature has historically opposed.
